In 2016 and 2017, Google hosted workshops to promote the digital skills of 10,000 entrepreneurs in 10 cities in the Netherlands. We took an old garage, weaving mill, sugar beet and ceramics factories and converted them into Digitale Werkplaats (Digital Garage).

Entrepreneurs are obviously focused on their business! So how do you ensure that they invest in their digital development? By bringing Google’s training programme to them. It kicks off with a local campaign to catch the eye of the target group. All channels are used: postal mailings, online advertising, bus/tram stops, newspaper adverts, social media, and radio commercials.
